The obsessive search for meaning detaches you from your own existence and from others.
Nietzsche suggests that desperately searching for something—whether truth, happiness, or identity—can make you forget yourself. 'All solitude is guilt' means that when you isolate yourself in your quest, you neglect your connection to others and to life itself. For example, a young person who spends years in libraries searching for 'the meaning of life' may end up not knowing who they are outside of books.
Why it matters It warns us not to confuse searching with living, and not to sacrifice relationships and the present for the sake of an illusory answer.
