Peace comes from cutting out unnecessary tasks, not from adding more duties.

Aurelius observes that agitation often comes from doing too many things, not from doing too few. The secret is to distinguish between the essential and the accessory. For example, if you have a long to-do list, eliminate half of the tasks that do not contribute to your real well-being. You will find that tranquility arises naturally when you slow down.
