“Knowing is not enough; we must apply. Willing is not enough; we must do.”Johann Wolfgang von Goethe · Maxime și reflecții · 1833 · Maxime și reflecții, Maxime, § 148
Knowledge and desire are empty without concrete action.
Goethe highlights the gap between theory and practice. You can know everything about nutrition, but if you don't eat healthily, that knowledge is useless. Similarly, you can wish to write a book, but without sitting down to write, the wish remains empty. Real change comes from acting.
Why it matters It reminds us to move from intentions to actions, especially in personal or professional projects where procrastination is common.
