“I am the Self seated in the hearts of all beings.”Bhagavad Gita · Bhagavad Gita · -200 · capitolul 10, versetul 20
The same Self looks out of every pair of eyes; to harm another is to harm yourself.
Krishna reveals his nature not as a distant god but as the ground of every soul. The mechanism is deep identity: the differences between people are surface, while at bottom the same Self looks out of every pair of eyes. Ethics follows from this: to harm another is to harm your own ground. When you see in the annoying stranger the same essence as in yourself, contempt becomes impossible.
The card shows what changes in you when you see the same Self in the other. The next step is what changes in action. If the essence is one, caring for others stops being charity and becomes tending your own root. Helping feels as natural as bandaging your own hand. Think of a colleague stuck on a task: you help not as a favor, but because their work and yours rest on the same ground. And when they err, correction comes without hatred, the way you fix your own posture. This opens a practical question: how do these relationships stay alive day to day, when tiredness and hurry make you forget the shared ground?
Why it matters It changes how you meet people: before judging someone, remember you share the same ground, and the reaction softens.
