Methodology

Red teaming — adversarial challenge

Attack your own assumptions and forecasts from the adversary's perspective.

Purpose

Build a team (or agent) that deliberately argues the opposing position — looking for methodological weaknesses, unstated assumptions and unanalysed adversarial moves.

Body

Red teaming was imported from the military (Millennium Challenge 2002, the Army's UFMCS). In olivLaw, the red-team agent runs automatically after each analysis draft and produces a challenge report: what was overlooked, which assumptions are fragile, what changes if the adversary anticipates our conclusion.

Core concepts

  • Adversarial reasoning
  • Alternative strategies
  • Escalation paths
  • Counter-moves
